Disclosures & Website Terms
Last updated: August 8, 2026
These Disclosures and Website Terms ("Terms") govern your use of morenofinancialservices.com and describe important policies for services offered by Moreno Financial Services ("we," "us," "our"). By using the site, booking a call, submitting a form, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. Paid client work is also governed by a written engagement letter or agreement; that engagement letter controls if it conflicts with this page for that engagement.
1. Who we are
Moreno Financial Services
Kempner, TX 76539, United States
254-397-5700 · jmoreno@morenofinancialservices.com
2. Nature of services
We provide tax preparation and bookkeeping services for individuals, families, military households, and small businesses, primarily in Central Texas and by remote arrangement where appropriate.
Website content is general information for education and marketing. It is not personalized tax, legal, investment, or accounting advice for your situation. Do not rely on website content alone to file a return or make financial decisions. A client relationship begins only when we accept an engagement in writing (or as otherwise agreed) and you provide the information we need.
3. Professional limitations
We are not a CPA firm or law firm unless separately stated for a specific engagement. We do not provide legal advice, audit opinions, or investment advisory services on this website. Complex legal matters, audit defense, or specialized work may be referred to other professionals.
4. Free strategy call
Free strategy calls (including via Cal.com) are educational and diagnostic. There is no obligation to hire us. Quotes given on a call are valid as stated on the call or in a follow-up writing. We may decline work that is a poor fit.
5. Fees
We quote a clear fee before paid work begins. Published starting prices (for example, individual returns from $250 and monthly bookkeeping from $600/mo) are floors, not guarantees of final price. Complexity, entity type, prior-year catch-up, multi-state returns, and scope can increase the fee.
Third-party costs (government filing fees, software pass-throughs, or other disbursements) may apply when disclosed. There are no surprise hourly spirals after we lock the quote for a defined scope.
6. Accuracy Guarantee (tax returns we prepare)
If we make an error on a return we prepare, we will correct the return and cover IRS penalties and interest attributable to that error, subject to the terms of your engagement letter. You remain responsible for:
- Providing complete and accurate information and documents
- Tax ultimately owed on a correctly prepared return
- Reviewing the return before e-file or signing authorization
The guarantee does not cover errors caused by incomplete or incorrect information you provided, or positions you insisted on against our advice.
7. Bookkeeping services
Bookkeeping accuracy depends on complete bank feeds, receipts, and your timely responses. We are not responsible for business decisions made from reports if source data was incomplete. Catch-up cleanups are scoped and quoted separately when needed.
8. Refunds and cancellations
- Strategy call: free; no charge to cancel or reschedule through Cal.com when possible.
- Tax or bookkeeping engagement: after you accept a quote and we begin work, fees for work performed are generally non-refundable. If you cancel mid- engagement, you remain responsible for fees for work completed to the cancellation date, as stated in your engagement letter.
- If we withdraw for reasons other than your breach (for example we cannot obtain required information after reasonable attempts), we will refund prepaid unused fees for work not performed, less non-refundable third-party costs already incurred.
- Accuracy Guarantee remedies are as described in section 6 and your engagement letter (correction and covered penalties/interest attributable to our error), not an automatic full refund of preparation fees unless your engagement letter says otherwise.
Contact jmoreno@morenofinancialservices.com to discuss a billing concern before filing a dispute with a card issuer when applicable.
9. Client responsibilities
- Provide complete, accurate, and timely information and documents
- Use only the secure channels we designate for SSN, bank, and tax documents
- Review returns and authorizations before signing or e-file approval
- Pay fees as agreed
10. Website use
- Do not misuse forms (spam, automated abuse, false information).
- Booking (Cal.com) and form delivery (FormSubmit) are third-party services with their own terms and privacy policies.
- Content on this site is owned by Moreno Financial Services unless otherwise noted. You may not scrape, copy, or republish it for commercial use without permission.
- The site is provided "as is." Website content alone does not create an accountant-client relationship.
11. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE AND GENERAL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT GENERAL ARTICLES OR CHECKLISTS APPLY TO YOUR SPECIFIC TAX SITUATION.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Our total liability arising out of or related to use of this website(as opposed to a signed engagement) is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100) or the minimum amount allowed by law.
- Our total liability arising out of or related to a paid engagementis limited as stated in your engagement letter; if the letter is silent, liability is limited to the fees you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, even if advised of the possibility.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example certain consumer rights, or liability for willful misconduct where such limits are prohibited).
13. Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising from incomplete or inaccurate information you provided, your misuse of the website, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. Venue for disputes relating to the website is in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Engagement letters may specify additional venue or dispute procedures for client work.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a revised "Last updated" date. Changes apply going forward. Material changes to active engagements will be handled under your engagement letter.

This page is a practical website terms template. It is not legal advice and does not replace a signed engagement letter or a tax-practice information security program (WISP). Owner should confirm practices match these Terms; attorney review is recommended for a regulated tax practice.
